Adventure Club Informational Meeting for parent and students grades 6-12: 📅Oct 7th ⏰ 5pm-7pm 📍Maysville High School This meeting will cover multiple aspects of the club, but will primarily focus on the winter ski/snowboarding season. Season pass options, bussing and other details will be discussed. There will also be time for individual guidance on which passes and options are best and an opportunity to complete the purchasing of season passes. Any questions or concerns should be directed to Matt Canfield at Maysville High School.

Have you ever tried your hand at cup stacking? Third graders tested their perseverance skills by working collaboratively to complete a series of cup stacking challenges. The real challenge arose when teams found out they would only be using a “cup wrangler” made from string and a rubber band to complete their tasks. In the end, they learned from this quote from Michael Jordan: “I have failed over and over again in my life… and that is why I succeed.” Grit is important!~🐾 Proud to be a panther. #PantherProud

🎃🐾October Lunch Menus 🐾🎃

In Mrs. Stoehr's 7th-grade students have been exploring why we still read myths and legends. After reading an excerpt from The Hunger Games, the class discussed the similarities between Katniss and Theseus. Now, they are diving into The Cruel Tribute, the story of how Theseus defeats the Minotaur and becomes King of Athens. Using a Socratic Seminar, students engaged in thoughtful discussions to check their own understanding and dig deeper into the text. 📚 Proud to be a panther. #PantherPride

🏀Maysville Youth League Basketball Information🏀

Maysville High School Spanish 2 students worked together on 15 challenging puzzles over two days, using the verb wall to unlock the mystery of Spanish verb conjugation. Through problem-solving and teamwork, they realized they could conquer something that once seemed impossible!🐾 Proud to be a panther. #PantherPride

🐾🩷Maysville Cheerleading Fundraiser🩷🐾 Maysville Panthers, Let's Fight cancer with a Pink Out on Friday, October 18th. Proceeds will go to a local person battling cancer. Shirt sale begins September 25th and ends at 11:59 pm on Monday, October 7th. Be sure to mark fundraiser headquarters if you would like your shirts delivered to Maysville High School for pick up. 🎶 5th Grade Band Recruitment 🎶 5th Grade recruitment for the band will take place on Thursday, September 26th and Thursday, October 3rd from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the band room. The doors at the end of the hallway by the basketball courts will be unlocked for entrance. If your student or anyone you know is interested in joining the 5th grade band, please pass this information along! 🌴 Teamwork in the Tinker Lab!🐾 Maysville Elementary 1st graders met in the Tinker Lab to investigate teamwork. Students worked collaboratively to build a coconut tree model after reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by John Archambault and Bill Martin. Students discovered the uppercase and lowercase letters often work together and the magic of construction with glue dots. Additionally, pairs worked together to construct building challenges using snowflake discs and pixel art grids. Proud to be a panther. #PantherPride

In the Maysville Elementary Tinkerlab, the 2nd graders put their teamwork skills to the test using the ThinkFun Dog Crimes Logic Game and Keva Plank - Little Builder Challenges! 🐶🧩 They stretched their creativity and their powers spatial reasoning, balance, and geometry to build both 2D and 3D solutions. Their enthusiasm for thinking outside the box shone through in every challenge! 🏗️ Proud to be a panther. #PantherPride
