Maysville 4th graders worked together to complete the mission of "Saving Fred," the gummy worm who capsized his boat! 🛶 There were important rules to follow, like not letting Fred fall into the water, and only using paper clips as their team tools. 🧠✨ Thanks to their problem-solving, teamwork, and creative thinking, Fred was saved again and again!
To finish off the challenge, the students built worm tunnels using the ThinkFun Gravity Maze game, showing off their cooperative problem-solving skills! 🌟

🌸🌿 Pollinator Garden Revitalization! 🌿🌸
The Pollinator Garden, a key part of our Outdoor Education Classroom, is undergoing a revitalization to make it an even more inviting and educational space. Nestled behind the K/5 wing of the Elementary School, this area serves as a living classroom where students can engage with environmental science, ecosystems, and the natural world around them.🌼🦋
In addition to being a rich educational resource, the garden supports the social and emotional growth of students by fostering respect and empathy for local plants and wildlife. It is a place where students not only learn about the intricate relationships between pollinators and their environment but also develop a deeper connection with nature.
Thanks to the generous funding from the JW & MH Straker Foundation, this project is bringing the garden back to life, ensuring that students and the school community have access to a peaceful space for learning, reflection, and appreciation of our local ecosystem. 🌱❤️
