The Applause Applause feature of the Maysville Local School Board meetings is to showcase the amazing work that is happening in our school district. These individuals are nominated for their dedication and commitment to making Maysville Local Schools a great place to be. We want to congratulate the March Applause Applause recipients for all of their hard work.

The Maysville Middle School Swim Team competed in their first meet Friday, March 17th, at the YMCA in Zanesville. Swimming for the Panthers are Bella Blair, Levi Gahagan, Lilly Campbell, Avereigh Hague, Leila Hawk, Delaynee Huff, Evan James, Gracie Rush, and Olivia Rusnak.
Top 10 finishes included:
Eighth Grader Levi Gahagan finished 6th in the 50-Yard Backstroke & 7th in the 100-Yard Freestyle.
Eighth Grader Leila Hawk finished 1st in the 200-Yard Freestyle, 1st in the 100-Yard Individual Medley, and 1st in the 100-Yard Backstroke.
Eighth Grader Evan James finished 7th in the 50-Yard Backstroke.
Eighth Grader Gracie Rush finished 3rd in the 100-Yard Butterfly, 4th in the 100-Yard Breaststroke, and 5th in the 100-Yard Individual Medley.
Seventh Grader Olivia Rusnak finished 4th in the 50-Yard Breaststroke & 7th in the 50-Yard Backstroke.
Sixth Grader Lilly Campbell finished 4th in the 50-Yard Freestyle & 6th in the 50-Yard Backstroke.
Sixth Grader Avereigh Hague finished 6th in the 50-Yard Freestyle & 10th in the 50-Yard Breaststroke.
Fifth Grader Bella Blair finished 10th in the 50-Yard Backstroke.
The Panthers swim next on Friday, March 24th. Congratulations, Panthers!

The Maysville High School Volleyball Team will be hosting a Youth Volleyball League for grades 4th-6th grade in the month of September. It will be on Saturdays September 2nd- September 30th. The cost is $250.00 per team. If you would like to register a team, please email Megan Hatfield or Kendall Jones at the emails on the flyer.


The Maysville High School Track Team will be having a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser this Saturday March 18th from 8:00AM- 11:00AM at the Muskingum Lodge #368. 50% of the profit will benefit the track team. Please see flyer below for additional information.


The Maysville Local School District is enrolled in the State of Ohio's SaferOH Tip Line. The tip line accepts calls or texts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Calls or texts are answered by trained analysts with Ohio Homeland Security. This tip line allows students and adults to anonymously share information with school officials and law enforcement about threats to student or staff safety. The Maysville Archery Team 🎯🏹competed in the State Bullseye archery tournament this weekend. The results of the competition is as follows:
Isabella Caplinger is the 1st place Ohio State Champion Elementary Female with a score of 285/300.
Mat Harper is the 1st place Ohio State Champion High school School Male with a score of 298/300. Along with being his 8th year in a row as the top scorer in the Tournament.
Elementary School shot a 2743, which earned them 12th place.
Middle School shot a 3130, which earned them 9th place.
High School shot a 3209, which earned them 10th place.

Maysville Local Schools will be closed Tuesday, March 14 due to icy road conditions.

Mrs. Bankes’ 9th-grade Physical Science classes participated in the Egg Drop Challenge to demonstrate their understanding of introductory physics concepts they have learned throughout the semester. The students applied their creativity and knowledge of energy transfer, motion, and forces to construct a device that could sustain an egg when dropped from a significant height. The students then calculated their results and summarized their work in a scientific report. Great job, students!

Mrs. Taylor's classes at Maysville Middle School, spent the month researching a country, making a presentation, drawing the flag, and creating a visual aid that represents the country in some way whether it was a food that looked like their flag, traditional food from the country, diorama or a sculpture.
