We are excited to introduce you to one of our amazing Panther staff members!
📚 Subject/Years:
Art/ 24 Years
🐾 What does it mean to you to be part of the Panther family?
"Being part of this family means helping each student become their best self. In my art room, I aim to not only foster creativity, but also create a welcoming space where every student feels safe to express themselves. Students explore ideas and can inspire each other through their words or actions. Sometimes, the best lessons have little to do with the final product and everything to do with the experience and social interactions.
I love reconnecting with former students as they recall memorable art projects or experiences from when they were small. The confidence, emotional awareness, and critical thinking developed in the art room have a lasting impact on their lives and careers. It is an honor to now be teaching a second generation of students, especially since my three boys are also Panthers! "
🍎 What are you most excited about for this school year?
"Seeing the excitement of my students as they experience new media and techniques, and their pride as they learn new skills and complete artworks."
⭐ Fun Fact:
"I worked for SeaWorld! I traveled around Ohio and 3 other states teaching preschool-college level classes about marine life. My favorite part was interacting with animals during small group presentations in the park."
We are proud to have you as part of our Panther family! 💛💙

🏒🐾Career Pathway Highlight🐾🏒
The Business Pathway students had an incredible opportunity to visit Nationwide Arena and learn all about the business operations behind the Columbus Blue Jackets!
Students toured the arena, experienced skating on the ice, and most importantly met with a professional business panel. They heard firsthand from experts in Public Relations, Business Intelligence Analysis, and Corporate Partnerships.
This real-world experience gave our students valuable insight into the careers, skills, and teamwork that make a major sports franchise successful. We’re so proud of how engaged and professional our students were throughout the day.

We are excited to introduce you to one of our amazing Panther staff members!
📚 Subject/Years:
2nd Grade / 31 Years
🐾 What does it mean to you to be part of the Panther family?
"I hope all of my students, past and present, know they will always be my kids. That connection began when they entered my room and will continue always. When my students come back to see me, visit, give me hugs, or to teach, that is my validation as a teacher. That's all I need. "
🍎 What are you most excited about for this school year?
"I am most excited about getting to know and teach a whole new group of second graders!"
⭐ Fun Fact:
"My favorite animals are owls, hawks, bats, cats, and spiders. My favorite color is orange.

🐾 What does it mean to you to be part of the Panther family?
"Being part of the Panther family means building lasting relationships with students and their families - not only while I have them in class but then reconnecting with them years later. It means not only having the privilege of teaching students, but eventually teaching their children too. It is a bond that extends beyond the classroom and across generations. "
🍎 What are you most excited about for this school year?
"I can't wait to see and talk to former students and get to know new ones. I am excited to provide them skills that will open doors for the rest of their lives. "
⭐ Fun Fact:
"I earned 1st place in Maysville's spelling bee when I was in sixth grade. I felt unstoppable for a short while. Then I crashed and burned in the first round of the state competition. "

🐾 Pet Day in Environmental Science! 🐾
To kick off their PBL project, students in Environmental Science held a Pet Day! Mrs. Geis brought in one of her dogs and one of her cats, and several students shared their own unique or exotic pets. Students made observations, researched facts, and connected what they learned in class to real animals. It was a fun and engaging way to bring ecology to life! 💛💙
