The Maysville Middle School Swim Team had a strong finish to their final meet of the season on Friday, April 11, at the Muskingum Family YMCA. 🐾Evan James set a new Middle School Boys’ Record in the 500-yard Freestyle. 🐾The 200-yard Freestyle Relay Team of Evan Becker, Clara James, Ashlynn Lewellen, and Evan James finished 4th. 🐾The 200-yard Medley Relay Team of Evan Becker, Clara James, Evan James, and Ashlynn Lewellen finished 7th. Top 20 Individual Finishes Included: 🐾Eighth Grader Evan Becker finished 2nd in the 100-yard Individual Medley, 4th in the 50-yard Butterfly, and 6th in the 500-yard Freestyle. 🐾Eighth Grader Paige Calendine finished 18th in the 50-yard Breaststroke. 🐾Eighth Grader Evan James finished 1st in the 50-yard Breaststroke, and 2nd in the 500-yard Freestyle. 🐾Sixth Grader Ashlynn Lewellen finished 4th in the 50-yard Backstroke, 4th in the 50-yard Freestyle, and 5th in the 50-yard Breaststroke. 🐾 Fifth Grader Clara James finished 9th in the 500-yard Freestyle. 💛🐾💙Career Pathway Highlight💙🐾💛 Members of Maysville’s HOSA Chapter competed at the State Leadership Conference. 🐾 Day 1: Students kicked off the trip with HOSA Night at the Toledo Mudhens! Members were chosen to go on the field and deliver the game ball to the mound.⚾ Day 2: The members competed against the top Future Health Professionals in Ohio, explored the College & Career Showcase, attended the Leadership Academy, and our chapter’s voting delegate helped elect the next HOSA state officers. They also got in on a charity pickleball tournament and wrapped up the day with a fun night of dancing! 🏓🎓🕺 Day 3: Congratulations to Bailey Silver, who earned 2nd place in the phlebotomy competition and is heading to the International Leadership Conference in Nashville this June.
