National FFA Week is here!
The Maysville FFA Chapter is excited to once again celebrate National FFA Week from February 21-28, and hopes that all of Panther Nation will join them! The week-long celebration includes a school-wide spirit week with the themes listed below, the annual "Ag Olympics" on Friday, February 27th, and the return of the "Slushie Shower" fundraiser, with all proceeds being donated to Nationwide Children's Hospital.

The Maysville swim team shattered numerous school and personal records at the District Swim Meet at Ohio University, which included the top swimmers from Central, Eastern, and Southern Ohio.🏊♀️🐾
⭐In addition, two Panthers will advance to the OHSAA State Swimming Championships this Thursday and Friday at the C.T. Branin Natatorium at Canton McKinley High School.
🐾Congratulations to Junior Leila Hawk, who qualified for the State Division II Swim Meet in the 200-yard Freestyle and 500-yard Freestyle. Leila medaled and finished 3rd in the 500-yard Freestyle and medaled and finished 6th in the 200-yard Freestyle, both her personal bests and new school records. This will be Leila’s 2nd year in a row to qualify for the state meet.
🐾Congratulations to Freshman Paige Calendine, who qualified for the State Division II Para Swim Meet in the 50-yard Para Freestyle and the 100-yard Para Backstroke. Paige medaled and finished 2nd in the 50-yard Para Freestyle and 2nd in the 100-yard Para Backstroke, setting new personal bests.
🐾Junior Grace Rush finished 24th in the 200-yard Individual Medley and 24th in the 100-yard Butterfly, setting new personal bests.
🐾Freshman Evan James finished 26th in the 200-yard Freestyle and 22nd in the 500-yard Freestyle, setting new personal bests.
🐾The Women’s Relay Team of Madison Hirtle, Olivia Rusnak, Grace Rush, and Leila Hawk finished 12th in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay, crushing the school record, and finished 18th in the 200-yard Medley Relay, also setting a new school record.
Congratulations on an outstanding season, Panthers! Best wishes to Leila Hawk on Thursday and Paige Calendine on Friday when they will represent Maysville at the Ohio High School Athletic Associations' Swimming & Diving State Championships in Canton.

The Maysville High School Blood Drive will take place as scheduled. The drive is being held in the Middle School Gym and will continue until 1:00 p.m. today.
Unfortunately, many back roads have not improved and remain icy and unsafe, as a result, Maysville Local School District will be CLOSED, Monday, February 23, 2026.
Due to several district roads being icy and snow covered, Maysville Local School District will be on a 2hr delay, Monday, February 23, 2026.
