
Maysville High Schools wrestlers wrestled at the Claymont Sectionals Saturday. The following are Sectional Placers and District Qualifiers. Those that are district qualifiers will wrestle next Friday and Saturday at Steubenville to make it to the State Championships. Those that placed 5th will be alternates and wrestle in the event that another qualifier cannot.
District Qualifiers:
Sophomore Kaleb Monlux was 4th place at 126 lbs. Monlux avenged an overtime defeat at the MVL Championships last weekend to Philo’s Griffen Swartz, pinning Swartz in the 3rd period of the consolation semifinal to advance to districts.
Sophomore Logan Wilhite placed 4th. Wilhite lost the semifinal match to state ranked Ezekial Williams of New Philadelphia and then beat Claymont’s Trenton Cole by major decision 13-4 in the consultation semifinals to advance to the districts.
Sectional Placers and District alternates:
120 lbs: Sophomore Cyrus Melick 5th place
215 lbs: Sophomore Ryan Parmer 5th place

🏀Maysville Boys Basketball🏀
Congratulations to the Maysville Boys Basketball team for defeating Meadowbrook on Saturday night for the 💛Sectional Title💙. This is the first sectional title since 2016. The Panthers advance to the District Semi-Finals this Wednesday at 7:00PM at Muskingum University. Proud to be a panther🐾! #PantherPride

NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR AND NO PASSES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Maysville girls finished their season by scoring a 3057 in districts for a 6th place finish.

Reminder Maysville Elementary Families
The Maysville Elementary read a thon fundraiser ends on March 2nd. The money raised from this fundraiser is going towards various PBIS and literacy commitments to our school. 🐾


Maysville High School French Club celebrated Mardi Gras "Fat Tuesday" by having a Mardi Gras party and by preparing cajun cuisine, beignets, and kings cake.





This is a reminder that Parent Teacher Conferences will take place tomorrow, February 23rd, from 2:35-7:30. To schedule an appointment, please email your child's teachers or call the high school office.
Also, the I Spy van will be making a stop at the 6-12 building during conferences. The van helps educate parents/guardians about important teen related topics that may be affecting their child.

There will be an encore presentation of the College Credit Plus information meeting tomorrow, Thursday, February 23rd at 6:30 PM in the library (room 1010) at the high school.
Parent Teacher Conferences will also be from 2:35 to 7:35 PM tomorrow. If you need to schedule a meeting with a teacher, please call the office at (740) 454-7999.

There is also a mandatory meeting for families of students going on the 8th grade Washington DC trip on Thursday, February 23rd at 6:00pm.

Maysville High School concert band performed at a pre contest concert this weekend. This event took place at Crooksville high school. Maysville, Marietta, Morgan, and Crooksville bands all performed in front of an audience as well as adjudicators in preparations for OMEA Large Group competition coming up on March 4th. All four bands performed very well and received great feedback for the upcoming contest. Proud to be a panther. #PantherPride
