The Maysville Boys Basketball Program🏀 held their annual tip off dinner on Saturday night. It was a wonderful night of celebration and motivation going into the 2023 season. The panthers started the night with recognizing Dr. Ralph Smith for 36 years of service on the Maysville Local School Board and Robert Wilson for 16 years of service. Then they met the Boys Basketball Program and the High School Cheerleaders. Panther fans then heard from each of the four seniors (Wesley Armstead, Alex Bobb, Sammy Scott, and Coen Fink) on their experience with the Maysville Basketball Program. They ended the night with Guest Speakers Greg Mitts and Larry Shank. The Boys Basketball Team would like to thank everyone for their support of the dinner and to Chef Steve for the delicious meal.

On November 8th, 2023, the Maysville Elementary 5th graders came together to honor the brave men and women who have selflessly served and continue to serve our great nation. 🎗️
In the spirit of Veterans Day, Maysville Elementary organized the "Sacrifices Made" program to pay tribute to our veterans and active service members. 🎖️ The event was a heartfelt reminder of the sacrifices made by these heroes to ensure our freedom and safety.
A huge shoutout to our dedicated 5th graders and music teachers for putting on a spectacular program that touched our hearts and reminded us of the importance of gratitude and appreciation. 🌟

Congratulations to Maysville Soccer Player⚽, Cam Parker (Junior), who was named OHSAA 2nd Team All-Ohio honoree. Cam becomes the sixth MHS boys soccer player named all-state; his 27 goals and 25 assists led the team in both categories.

Last night was a celebration of literacy at Maysville O*TAGS Literacy Night! From dramatic stories with Abby to Heggarty adventures with Hannah and some serious Moving and Grooving, we had a night filled with laughter, learning, and joy.
📖 A big shout-out to the Muskingum County Library for joining us! They helped students make their own badges, signed them up for library cards, and introduced them to The Imagination Library Program.
🌭🍿 And of course, what's a night of fun without some treats? Hot dogs, popcorn, and refreshing water added the perfect touch to our literary celebration.

Our cherished veterans were welcomed with open arms and a breakfast to kick off the day. 🍳☕
The program was a true testament to our gratitude, featuring moving music performances by our talented band and choir students. 🎶 These young musicians poured their hearts into every note, creating a symphony of respect and admiration.
The Middle School Students also shared original poems, specially crafted to honor the unwavering commitment of our veterans. Their words, filled with gratitude and respect, touched the hearts of everyone in attendance.

Social Work students from the Case Management Class at Zane State College provided an Age Play presentation in partnership with the Area Agency on Aging to students in Mrs. Kim's Healthcare and Elder Care classes.
The Purpose of AgePlay:
To improve student understanding of the aging adult and therefore enhance intergenerational relationships; to expand the sensitivity, knowledge and skills of students to the older adults perspective; and to better understand the causes of confusion and memory loss in seniors and how to improve communication with them.
