The Panthers took on five teams Saturday at the Riverview Invitational at Coshocton High School.
The Women’s 200 Free Relay Team of Grace Rush, Madison Hirtle, Olivia Rusnak and Paige Calendine finished 5th.
The Men’s 200 Free Relay Team of Caleb Camp, Greyson Hearing, Evan Becker, and Evan James finished 2nd.
Top 5 Individual Finishes Included:
-Junior Caleb Camp finished 3rd in the 100 Freestyle.
-Junior Madison Hirtle finished 3rd in the 200 Freestyle and 4th in the 100 Breaststroke.
-Junior Grace Rush finished 2nd in the 100 Fly and 2nd in the 100 Backstroke.
-Sophomore Olivia Rusnak finished 4th in the 200 Freestyle and 4th in the 100 Freestyle.
-Freshman Evan Becker finished 1st in the 100 Backstroke and 2nd in the 200 IM.
-Freshman Evan James finished 2nd in the 400 Freestyle and 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke.
-Freshman Troy Luburgh finished 2nd in the 200 Freestyle.

On Saturday, Junior Leila Hawk competed at the prestigious Northeast Classic at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, Ohio, home of the OHSAA state swim championships. The Classic featured the top swimmers from Central, Eastern, and Northeast Ohio, representing over 60 different schools, most of which are Division 1 high schools.
Hawk, seeded 34th in the 200 Free, finished in 31st place (out of 51), setting a new school record of 2:05.63
In her second event, Hawk finished 12th in the 500 Free after being seeded 15th in the field of 34 swimmers that featured 3 of the top 10 swimmers in Ohio. Great job Leila.
