📊 Building Future Managers — One Level at a Time! 🏢
Maysville High School Business Foundations students put their leadership skills to the test during the Managerial Pyramid Activity! 💼
Students worked hands-on to explore the three levels of management — Top-Level, Middle-Level, and Supervisory-Level Managers — along with the workers who make it all happen at the foundation of the pyramid. Together, they discovered how each level plays a vital role in keeping a business running smoothly.
From executives setting goals and strategy at the top, to managers coordinating and motivating teams in the middle, to supervisors guiding daily operations and supporting their workers, our Panthers learned how every role is essential to business success. 🐾💙💛
We love seeing our future business leaders collaborate, think critically, and have fun while learning!

🧪 Students in Mrs. Stoehr's 7th grade science class recently completed several physical science stations! At these stations, students were asked to transfer knowledge from paper to hands-on exploratory learning.
🔬 Students first modeled chemical reactions while applying the Law of Conservation of Mass using Legos. Next, they created a simple closed system using a balloon and a water bottle. Within that system, students used vinegar and baking soda to create a chemical reaction. Using a triple beam balance, they were able to find the mass of the reactants and the mass of the product to verify that the Law of Conservation of Mass had been preserved.
🍭 Other stations included using pH strips and litmus paper to determine if common Halloween treats were acidic or basic and what those results meant for their oral health.
🍬 Lastly, students experimented with different solutions to determine which one dissolved candy corn the quickest. Students then used their observations to decide whether the reactions were chemical or physical changes.

Maysville 2nd graders had a blast investigating the force of push and pull and discovering how simple machines help us do work. They put their learning into action by building their own catapults and launching candy pumpkins!🎃
Then came the big question: Could we catapult candy corn even farther using the same amount of force? Students tested their ideas, made observations, and had lots of fun experimenting.
