🏊♂️Maysville Swim Senior Night - 17th Annual County Meet 🏊♂️
The Maysville Swim Team competed at the 17th Annual County Meet on January 17th. The Men’s and Women’s Teams finished 2nd overall. Senior Tillman Hawk set a new school record in the Men’s 500 Yard Freestyle. Freshman Leila Hawk set new school records in the 200 and 500 Yard Freestyle and set County Meet records in both events as well.
The Women’s 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Team of Bailey Paskell, Claire Heiney, Madison Hirtle, and Grace Rush finished 2nd . The Women’s 400 Yard Freestyle Relay Team of Grace Rush, Madison Hirtle, Bailey Paskell, and Leila Hawk finished 2nd. The Men’s 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Team of Caleb Camp, Carter Mooney, Greyson Wood, and Tillman Hawk finished 2nd . The Men’s 400 Yard Freestyle Relay Team of Tillman Hawk, Caleb Camp, Elijah Mayle, and Casen Hirtle finished 2nd .
Top 5 Individual Finishes Included:
🏊♂️Tillman Hawk finished 1st in the 200 Yard Freestyle and 2nd in the 500 Yard Freestyle.
🏊♂️Casen Hirtle finished 2nd in the 50 Yard Freestyle and 2nd in the 100 Yard Breaststroke.
🏊♂️Bailey Paskell finished 3rd in the 100 Yard Breaststroke.
🏊♂️Elijah Mayle finished 3rd in the 200 Yard IM and 5th in the 100 Yard Breaststroke.

Students in Mrs. Bankes' Physical Science class wrapped up their unit on chemical reactions through a fun, hands-on lab to explore chemical changes before and after a reaction occurs. Students were able to observe through touch to determine the result was an "exothermic" reaction, which means that the outcome of the reaction released heat.

The Maysville Boys Basketball Team competed in The Battle of the 614 showcase yesterday, which encompasses some of the top teams from all divisions in the state. The defeated Northridge with a score of 57-50 being led by Alex Bobb with 28 points and Gator Nichols with 21 points. Great job panthers!

Boys Basketball Schedule Changes in February


🎳Maysville Bowling🎳
Maysville Boys split a tri-match yesterday by beating Licking Valley 1973-1939 and losing to Sheridan 2163-1973. Our top scores were Jacob Miller with a 206,212 (418) and Matt Johnson with a 205 . Maysville moves to 11-5 for the season.
Maysville Girls team picked up a pair of victories yesterday by beating Licking Valley 1445-1356 and Sheridan 1445-1364. The girls were led by Alana Johnson 183,146(349) and Auska Johnson 163,155(318)The girls improve to 5-11 for the year.
Maysville is in action today at Village Lanes and Thursday is Senior night at 4:00 at Sunrise.

Maysville was well represented in this years district 9 OMEA Honor Band🎼. There were six middle school and seven high school representatives. Mr. Murphy also conducted piece this year at the concert. The students are as follows:
