Peace Corps volunteers wrapped up their final meeting of the year with students from Ukraine on Friday, April 24! 🌍
Students pooled their money to enjoy a variety of delicious Ukrainian foods, including varenyky (dumplings filled with cheese or potato), chebureky (similar to empanadas with pork or beef), and sirniki (a sweet treat similar to cheesecake).
The celebration also included fun activities like a Kahoot game guessing childhood photos of students and teachers, as well as a fun game of Galactic Phone, where students drew and guessed each other’s creations on their Chromebooks.
Throughout the school year, students dedicated 10–15 hours volunteering on Fridays through the Peace Corps Virtual Service Program.
