🏀 Maysville Athletic Schedule Update: Tonight’s Maysville Boys Basketball game against New Lexington has been canceled. A makeup date will be shared once it is finalized.

Due to the recent snowstorm, Maysville Local Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

The Maysville Panthers had a very strong showing at the Muskingum County Meet.
🐾Team Highlights
-The Women’s Team finished 3rd overall, and the Men’s Team tied for 3rd.
-The Women’s Relay Team of Olivia Rusnak, Leila Hawk, Grace Rush, and Madison Hirtle finished 3rd and set a new school record of 2:22.73 in the 200 Medley Relay and finished 3rd in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
-The Men’s 200 Medley Relay Team of Caleb Camp, Evan James, Evan Becker, and Greyson Hearing finished 5th.
-The Men’s 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Team of Caleb Camp, Troy Luburgh, Evan Becker, and Evan James finished 3rd.

On Saturday, Junior Leila Hawk competed at the prestigious Northeast Classic at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, Ohio, home of the OHSAA state swim championships. The Classic featured the top swimmers from Central, Eastern, and Northeast Ohio, representing over 60 different schools, most of which are Division 1 high schools.
Hawk, seeded 34th in the 200 Free, finished in 31st place (out of 51), setting a new school record of 2:05.63
In her second event, Hawk finished 12th in the 500 Free after being seeded 15th in the field of 34 swimmers that featured 3 of the top 10 swimmers in Ohio. Great job Leila.

Maysville High School Baseball recently volunteered with the Animal Shelter Society. The team helped make treats, learned about the shelter’s mission, received education on proper pet care, and spent time walking some of the dogs.
