🧬 Students in Mrs. Bankes’ Biology classes took part in a hands-on DNA extraction lab as part of their study of DNA structure and function.
Using cheek cells and strawberries, students were able to extract and observe DNA, comparing differences in quantity between cell types. This engaging activity helped reinforce how DNA, though microscopic, carries the essential instructions for all living organisms. 👩🔬👨🔬
