Thursday's Athletic Events

Students from Maysville O*TAGS A.M. session of Extended Care did some hands-on learning today about worms. They loved watching the worms dig into the soil and learned how the worms are good for plants and flowers. At the end of the all the learning they enjoyed a yummy snack!

Maysville Elementary 4th graders met with Mrs. McHugh and Mrs. Hill in the STEAM lab this week to investigate “environmental solutions.” We learned about the use of wind turbines in our country, and the difference that a William Kamkwamba’s windmill made for his village in Malawi. As a team, students worked to construct a windmill that’s carrier would lift a predetermined weight. Maysville Elementary 3rd graders also met this session to study the effects of oil spills on our environment and to test a variety of tools for their effectiveness at removing the oil from their man-made oceans. We have several environmentalists ready to take on the world🌍! Proud to be a panther 🐾 #PantherPride
