Delta Kappa Gamma, a women’s teacher society, presented a bench to Mr. Dalton, 9-12 principal and Beth Duff, a 7th grade teacher and a member of DKG. Members collected 500 pounds of plastic in exchange for the bench, the second one given by the chapter to a district in the county. The chapter hopes to present a bench to each district in the county. Proud to be a panther. #PantherPride

Hey there, families of Maysville Local! We hope this email finds you all in the spooky spirit! We wanted to reach out and bring an important matter to your attention – our candy stash 🍭🍬for our second annual trick or treat event is running dangerously low. Eek! In the true essence of Beggar's night, we're turning to you with a humble request for your invaluable help. If you could donate a bag of candy, it would mean the world to us and all the little ghosts and goblins looking forward to this special event. We know candy runs low this time of year, but your contribution – no matter how big or small – will go a long way in ensuring a fun-filled and spooktacular evening for everyone. Let's keep the magic of Halloween alive and vibrant in our community! Just drop off your candy donation to the office and we will take care of the rest. Together, we can make this year's trick or treat an unforgettable experience for all the little trick-or-treaters! Thank you in advance for your kindness and support. Your candy donations will truly make a difference and put an excited grin on the faces of all our young ones. Wishing you a frightfully fantastic Halloween filled with treats, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime! - Maysville Elementary Staff

Maysville Local School District has created a voice for students at our High School by creating Student Representatives to be present at the board meetings. In this position the students learn the ins and outs of what the school board does and how it functions. This is an outstanding opportunity for our students to serve their peers in a positive way. It is our privilege to introduce our five student representatives for the 2023-2024 school year: 🔵Mackenzie Mathers 🟡Autumn Barrows 🔵Bailey Silver 🟡Claire Heiney 🔵Jaden Brady

Mrs. Novaria’s Kindergarten class had a guest speaker from the Muskingum County Literacy Council, Community Literacy Liaison Cindy Lawyer. On Friday, October 6th, children sang and danced to the song, Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush, then enjoyed following along to the big book with the same name. 📚Engaging students with strategies to be a good reader, Lawyer had them look at the pictures to determine the sequence of events in the story, predict what would happen next, while learning new vocabulary words. Each child in the classroom was given a book to take home and share with their family. 📚The Muskingum County Literacy Council is a non-profit organization in our community promoting the importance of literacy for all ages. If you are interested in promoting a literacy activity you may contact them through the Muskingum County Literacy Councils' Facebook page. Proud to be a panther. #PantherPride
