The High School boys traveled to New Lexington Saturday for the Jimmy Wood Invite.🤼♂️ The tournament featured a total of 3 prior Ohio State Champions and 21 prior Ohio State placers. Leading the way for the Panther was Freshman Walker Archer with a 4th place finish. Other placers included the following:

🤼♂️Kade Renner-8th place

The High School Girls and Middle School Girls competed Sunday at the New Lexington Girls Invite. 🤼♀️The High School girls placed 13th overall out of 38 teams. The High School was lead by Senior Kelsie Bryan who secured her 3rd tournament championship for the year racking up 4 pins along the way. Kyrie Valentine placed 5th in the 105 pound weight class.
🤼♀️The middle school team was lead by Audrey Crooks who pinned her way through the 116 pound weight class.
🤼♀️Presley Sandobal was runner-up in the 92 pound weight class.

Maysville Middle School Students are kicking off their popcorn and pretzel fundraiser! They will earn back 50% of all sales. All money earned will go into their Washington DC account. Students will receive prizes if they sell 25 bags or more. The sale starts today and will end on Friday, February 9th. All checks need to be made out to Maysville Middle School.

Weekly Athletics' Schedule


On Friday January 26th, Maysville Boys Basketball honored Zack Smith's life as a Maysville Boys Basketball Player by retiring #42 in his honor. Zack was a 2015-2016 letterman on the Maysville Boys Basketball Team and was also a Deputy Sheriff for Muskingum County. Former Head Coach Greg Mitts presented his family with a replica of his jersey that will be on the wall in Panther Gymnasium.

Congratulations to the Maysville Boys Basketball Team🏀 for defeating West Muskingum with a score of 76-43. The Panthers were led by Gator Nichols with 30 points, Alex Bobb with 19 points, and Jordyn Watson with 13 points. The panthers will be back in action on Tuesday in the Panther Pound.

The Lady Panthers were led by Emily Lawson with 6 points and Jerzei Blackketter with 5 points. The panthers next game will be on Wednesday at Philo.

Yesterday, Maysville 8th graders started on a journey of possibilities at the Career Pathways Assembly, getting a sneak peek into the 6 incredible career pathways they can explore in high school. 🚀
On January 30th, for the Career Pathways Fair, Maysville teachers and student ambassadors from each pathway will showcase their displays. 🎓 It's a great opportunity for 8th-grade students and their families to dive deeper into their interests and learn more about the exciting pathways ahead.

The annual College Credit Plus meeting for Maysville Local Schools will be held on Thursday, February 8th at 6:30 PM at the high school. Students in grades 7-11 and their parents are invited to attend if they are interested in taking college courses while in high school. Please read the attached letter for more information.



🎳Maysville Bowling🎳
🎳The Maysville Boys Bowling team had a pair of wins last night by knocking off 1st place Heath 2104-2082 and Tri Valley 2104-1965. Maysville was led by Dallas Quinn's 204 and 174. Matt Johnson had a 190 and Bryson Bintz tossed a 188 /170.
🎳The Maysville Girls Team lost to Heath 1802-1521 and was edged out by Tri Valley 1540-1521. Maysville was led by Auska Johnson who shot a 180/177 and Alana Johnson's 156/146.
🎳Maysville JV1 split a pair matches by beating Tri Valley and losing to Heath. Top scorers were Landen Theisen with a 198/158 and Zach Landers 152. Our JV2 Team was led by Alex Eldridge 139/112 and Aaron Shook's 116.
