📢 Panther Passes Are Back! 🐾
Maysville Middle School is once again selling Panther Passes, a great opportunity for 6th-grade students to raise money for their 8th-grade Washington, D.C. trip! These coupon cards offer discounts at local businesses and are valid for one year.
💲 Cost: $5 per pass
💰 Earnings: $4 per pass goes directly into the student’s account
📆 Available Starting: Tuesday, April 1st
📍 Where to Get Them: See Mrs. Harper in the middle school office to prepay and receive passes.
There are a limited number of passes available. If you have questions, contact Mrs. Harper at 740-454-7982.
🐾🥎Maysville Defeats Cambridge 14-4🥎🐾
The Maysville Varsity Softball Team secured a 14-4 victory over Cambridge on Friday. Kaelynne Mitton led the offense, going 3-for-4 with a home run, double, and single, while also earning the win in the circle with six strikeouts over six innings. Maysville took control early, scoring four runs in the first inning and adding to their lead throughout the game.
The Panthers' offense had 16 hits. Mitton, Sophie Dennis, Kam Brooks, and Lily Tumblin each collected three hits. Defensively, Maysville turned two double plays and committed zero errors. Brooklyn Toler led the team with six defensive chances.

🐾 Maysville 8th Graders Take on D.C. – Day 2🐾
What an amazing second day in our nation’s capital! Maysville 8th graders represented Maysville with true Panther Pride as they explored Mount Vernon, the Marine Corps Museum, and the Iwo Jima Memorial. One of the most moving moments of the day was witnessing the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier—a truly unforgettable experience.
The day wrapped up with a visit to the Vietnam Memorial, followed by some well-earned fun at Dave & Buster’s.🕹️🎉 Stay tuned for more from D.C.

Maysville 8th grade Panthers hit the road early Wednesday morning for their trip to Washington, D.C.! 🚌🎒
Day 1 was packed with incredible experiences, including visits to the Flight 93 National Memorial, the Udvar-Hazy Aviation Museum, and the iconic Jefferson Memorial.

🐾Maysville 2nd Graders Become Paleontologists in the Tinker Lab!🐾
This week, Maysville 2nd graders stepped into the shoes of paleontologists during an exciting visit to the Tinker Lab! Thanks to a generous grant from the STEM Collaborative, students explored the ancient world of fossils and dinosaurs through hands-on activities that brought extinct animals to life.
At the fossil excavation station, each student used specialized tools to carefully unearth a fossil from a fossil brick. After their careful digging, students examined their discoveries to determine what kind of fossil they had found—just like real paleontologists!
In addition to fossil digging, students also visited the dinosaur construction station, where they used large-scale dinosaur bones from Imagination Playground to design and build their own dinosaurs. Creativity and teamwork were on full display as students imagined what these prehistoric creatures might have looked like.
A big thank you to the STEM Collaborative for providing these amazing resources and helping us make learning come alive!
