The Maysville Varsity Swim Team celebrated Seniors Claire Heiney, Landyn Kennedy, Elijah Mayle, Bailey Paskell, and Owen Rusnak on Senior Night where they competed against eight teams at the 18th Annual County Meet at the Muskingum YMCA on Wednesday, January 22. 🐾🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️ Overall, the Women’s Team finished 3rd in the County and the Men’s Team finished 2nd. County Meet Champs included: 🏊‍♂️Owen Rusnak was the County Meet Champ in the 50-yard Freestyle. 🏊‍♀️Sophomore Leila Hawk was the County Meet Champ in the 200-yard and 500-yard Freestyle. 🏊‍♀️The Women’s 400-yard Freestyle Relay Team of Grace Rush, Olivia Rusnak, Bailey Paskell, and Leila Hawk finished 3rd. 🏊‍♀️The Women’s 200-yard Freestyle Relay team of Bailey Paskell, Claire Heiney, Olivia Rusnak, and Grace Rush finished 5th. 🏊‍♂️The Men’s Relay Team of Landyn Kennedy, Elijah Mayle, Owen Rusnak, and Caleb Camp finished 2nd in the 200-yard and 400-yard Freestyle Relays. Maysville was well represented at OMEA District IX Honor Band on January 18th in Marietta, Ohio. There were 14 high school students and 7 middle school students who represented the school. This is the largest number of participants Maysville has ever sent to this event. The high school group was conducted by OMEA Executive Director Mr. Jay Wardeska, while the middle school group was lead by the Director of Bands at Grove City high school, Mr. Jason Graham.
