Engineering Pathways Article (click to read full article)

Three years ago, Maysville High School transformed its traditional engineering pathway into a hands-on robotics and industrial robotics program, creating new opportunities for students and strengthening ties with regional industry. This year’s seniors are the first to complete all four courses in the redesigned pathway.

With the support of grant funding, the school invested in FANUC robotics equipment, handheld robotic devices, and PLCs, allowing students to gain experience with the same advanced manufacturing technology used in the workforce. The program continues to grow, with 17 upperclassmen currently enrolled and 45 freshmen already beginning the engineering pathway.
